To our Valued Clients,

Updated No Show & Cancellation Policy - why you ask?

Many of you are aware of the struggles many businesses face with staffing shortages, veterinary care is no different. As a result, we must limit daily appointments due to the result of our own shortages. Our mission is and always will be to deliver the best and comprehensive care to your pet, that means we also have to give our staff time off to regroup & refresh themselves to do just that. We value our clients time, and we hope our clients value not only our staffs time but the other clients that are waiting to have their pet seen. A No-Show appointment means we could have seen another pet that may have been sick. Since we are booking further out each week, this could mean the difference for that pet and the recovery time. As a courtesy please call our clinic to cancel an appointment you cannot make, there are others waiting to be seen. We have been forced to update our No-Show and Cancellation policy and pre payments will be enforced going forward when you no-show to an appointment. If you have already signed the updated agreement, we thank you, if not, please review, sign and bring with you to your pets next appointment. We do have copies at the front desk as well This policy update can be found linked under the New Client tab, under On-line forms.

Lastly, one of our doctors will be out starting September 12th 2022, on medical leave. We will be pushing out all dental procedures out until early 2023. We wish her a speedy recovery and look forward to her return. We will be utilizing a waiting list for Dental procedures and will make appointments once she is able to preform her dentistry skills.

Thank you and be kind,

The Metro Animal Hospital Team

Learn Who We Are

  • Linda Prososki, DVM
    Veterinarian

Dr. Linda is the original owner of Metro Animal Hospital, which opened its doors in 2004. She is also the owner of Wittenberg Veterinary Clinic, and she continues to enjoy working at both clinics. She feels very fortunate to be doing what she has always wanted to do-be a veterinarian. Dr. Linda attended undergraduate school and veterinary school at the Ohio State University. It was there she met her husband, John, who was a year ahead of her in veterinary school. They have four children (all grown) and two French Bulldogs, as well as a dairy farm. Over the years they have had many birds, cats, and dogs, each having a special place in their family. Dr. Linda enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine but she has a special interest in surgery and ophthalmology.

  • Frances Andersen, DVM
    Veterinarian

Dr. Frances is a central Wisconsin native who returned home to practice after graduating from veterinary school. She enjoys working with people and their pets on a daily basis. She has a strong interest in dentistry and feels a healthy mouth is necessary to overall good health. When away from the office, she keeps busy with her husband and three kids. They enjoy many activities, from camping and geocaching when the weather is nice, to baking and crafting when the weather turns cold. Dr. Frances and her family share their home with two cats (Bill and Ted).

  • Angie Witt, DVM, DACVIM
    Veterinarian

Dr. Angie graduated from UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine, did a Small Animal Internship in Medicine & Surgery at Ontario Veterinary College and a residency in Internal Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College. After three years in academia she took time off to raise her young boys, Oliver & Simon, before returning to the profession - this time in general practice. She has been a part-time associate at Metro Animal Hospital since 2008. Dr. Angie is a Diplomate of The American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband and now teenage boys, as well as her two cats (Squash and Spider) and dog (Charlie). Her favorite food is pizza.

  • Dawn Esselman, DVM
    Veterinarian

Dr. Dawn graduated from UW-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in 2002. Having worked at a couple different practices, she found her passions to be Emergency Medicine and Ophthalmology. She enjoys watching the Packers, Badgers and Blackhawks. Dr. Dawn lives with her husband (Joe), dog (Knox) and two cats (Moose, who is three-legged, and Willow).
