Kayla joined the Metro team in 2015 after moving from the Madison area. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison and graduated with a degree in Animal Science. She started working as a CVT in 2013 when she graduated from MATC with her degree in Veterinary Technology. Kayla lives in Stratford with her husband, Craig, their three children Grayson, Cameron, and Madison, and their cat, Jake. In her free time, she enjoys watching her children play sports, scrapbooking, and visiting different coffee shops.

Cassie is a Certified Veterinary Technician who joined the Metro Team in September 2019 after moving back to Wisconsin to be closer to family.  She attended Globe University from 2010 to 2012, and graduated with an Associate's of Applied Science.  She received her CVT certification in July 2012.  Cassie lives in Wausau with her husband, Kendall, and their son, Carson.  She also has two wonderful cats, Charlie and 'The Kraken' Magnolia, and their Norwegian elkhound, Anders.  Outside of work, she enjoys baking, reading, camping, music, and spending time with her family.

Grace joined us in March of 2023, and has always had a love for animals. One year later, she graduated from NTC's veterinary technician program and then became a CVT in April 2025! In her free time, she likes to workout, read, cook, and hangout with her friends. She has two Labradors at home named Walker and Stoeger.

Allison lived in Michigan her whole life before moving here with her husband in September of 2024 when she joined our team. Earlier that year in April, she graduated from Penn Foster, and then became a CVT in April 2025! She has two cats at home, Sophia and Stormi, and enjoys spending time with them and her husband.

Amy is a Stevens Point native and a 2014 graduate of Madison College. She joined our team in February of 2025, and brings with her lots of experience working in both general practice and emergency. Outside of work, she spends most of her time hiking, kayaking, and crafting. The rest of her time is spent with family, friends, her cat Riley McGonagall, and Italian greyhound pitbull mix, Macaroni. Her and Macaroni hope to compete in dock diving and fastcat soon!

Hillary worked in Madison at an exotic animal clinic for 1.5 years, then started working at a non-profit, low-cost clinic before moving back to Wausau in 2018 when she joined our team. Caring for animals has been a passion her entire life. She lives with her husband and two daughters, three dogs, three cats, and a tank of fish. She enjoys camping and gardening.

Jessie joined us in September of 2023, coming from a 24-hour emergency hospital. She loves her two dogs Duck and Mona, three cats Mipha, Sidon, and Arthur, and Esper the chinchilla. She is highly interested in learning more about exotic pet care! In her free time, she loves drawing and playing video games.

Shauna is one of our front end staff and has been with us for the past few years. She is originally from the Wausau area and has lived in Colorado as well. She and Jacob have one son, Cooper, a bulldog named Larry, and a crazy cat named Timmy! She enjoys different types of crafting in her free time, as well as going to any type of races with her family and crew.

Alyssa joined our team in May of 2024 after relocating here from Louisiana in October of 2023. She came here with her husband, Chris, their two cats Millie and Turbo, and their two dachshunds, Mylo and Marley. In her free time outside of work, she enjoys puzzle and video games, and reading romance novels.

Amanda joined our team in February of 2025, wanting to branch into the veterinary care field. In their free time, lots of time is spent with family, caring for the collection of fish tanks, and their two cats named Kohsey and Kallisto. They are also an avid reader, artist, and video game player!

Rebecca joined our team in 2018. She has always had a strong passion to help animals and enjoys the medical aspect of the job. She graduated from NTC with her Associate's degree in Veterinary Science in 2019. In her free time, she enjoys hunting, fishing, crafting, gardening, and spending time with her husband, son and chihuahua Tiki.
